The attorney in charge of managing the estate of the late William Vogel wrote to United Artists to find out if they were interested in buying back the foreign distribution rights granted to Vogel by First National, by attaching the list of countries on which the rights for each film are held. The negatives of this films are still in Vogel’s possession. Chaplin requests that United Artists verify roughly how the eight films have grossed in the countries listed by the lawyer.
