Pirated prints of Chaplin's older comedies - particularly "Shoulder Arms" - are circulating in the UK. Necessary action to restrain such infringemens must be taken as soon as possible. In 1918 Vogel had the foreign rights of the eight First National Chaplin pictures for a lease of five years, and retained a negative of the film.
