[Letter] 1924 September 15th [to] Sydney Chaplin / Arthur Kelly - ECCI00022340

The distribution company Goldwyn censored "Rendez-vous" because it made fun of the stereotype of the English soldier. Despite the censorship problems and the "Purviance scandal", "A Woman of Paris" is having a good success. United Artists is looking forward to distributing Charles Chaplin's new film "The Gold Rush". The movie industry will be controlled by a small number of companies such as Famous-Players, Metro-Goldwyn, First National and Universal Films; Sydney Chaplin is advised to sign a contract with one of these companies.
