Controversy rages over the new Chaplin film "A King in New York". The kernel of the film is disclosed when the hero befriends a boy whose parents ex-Communists and is hauled before the Un-America Activities Committee. Chaplin is criticised since only serious indictment of the trend of American society is put into the mouth of a ten-year-old boy.
