Sets $1.000.000 Chaplin Bond - ECCI00011757

Surety bond of $1,000,000 set by judge Guerin to secure the property of Charles Chaplin in response of the application made by Lita Grey's attorneys. Attorney Young stated that profits of "The Gold Rush" over a period of five years would amount to more than $5,000,000. Young also claims that Chaplin immediately shipped the negatives of his new picture "The Circus" to New York in order to remove the film from the jurisdiction of local courts.
