Pathé Industries sent Chaplin Studios the negatives of Pay Day and Dog’s Life, originally held by them on behalf of William Vogel, the head of foreign distribution for First National. Vogel’s heirs still hold the foreign distribution rights to eight First National films in countries where they have not yet been released.
