Clubwomen Come to Rescue of Mrs. Chaplin, Now Penniless With 2 Children / By John K. Emge - ECCI00011535

Prominent clubwomen of Hollywood raised a fund to pay the rent on the home occupied by Lita Grey and her two babies and to provide her with money for household expenses. Lita Grey was awarded $4000 a month temporary alimony by the court pending outcome of her divorce suit, but has been unable to collect a penny owing to legal technicalities raised by Chaplin and to claims on Chaplin property filed by federal tax authorities.
